The Grand is a nice hotel with a lot to offer, especially its proximity to the Grand Canyon and clean, comfortable rooms. While the dining experience had its ups and downs, the welcoming atmosphere and well-maintained facilities make it a solid choice for families. However, my initial check-in experience was a bit rocky due to power issues, which affected our dining options.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated the deep tub and nice shower head. They were spacious enough with all the usual amenities, although the skylight in the vaulted ceiling made it hard to darken the room completely.
Service
7.0
Service was hit or miss; my first night was chaotic due to the power outage, which left the staff struggling. However, once things settled down, I found the staff to be very helpful, especially in the restaurant despite the long waits.
Location
10.0
The location couldn't be better, just a mile from the Grand Canyon's south entrance, making it easy to explore the area. There are several dining options within walking distance, although I found some local places had mixed reviews.
Dining
6.0
Dining was a mixed bag; the hotel provided a complimentary buffet due to the power outage, but it was mostly just cold salads. I was impressed by a burger I had later, but the service was slow and my order was wrong on another occasion.
Facilities
8.0
The indoor pool and hot tub were excellent for winding down after a day at the Grand Canyon, though I found it odd there were no changing rooms available.

6.2/10

I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel considering the price. While the decor was appealing and it had a nice ambiance, the room itself was quite standard, lacking basic comforts such as bedside outlets and properly functioning blackout curtains. The high food prices and noise disruptions made for an underwhelming experience. On a positive note, the customer service was accommodating, which helped salvage the stay a bit.

Rooms
5.0
The room was standard and lacked important amenities like outlets next to the bed and functioning blackout curtains. We also experienced noise issues from the vending machines nearby.
Service
8.0
The customer service was accommodating, especially when we requested refunds for the nights we were unhappy with our stay.
Location
9.0
The location is excellent, as it is very close to the Grand Canyon, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
5.0
The food prices were quite high, with sub-par quality, which was disappointing for us while staying there.
Facilities
5.0
Overall, the hotel seemed to lack in additional facilities that would enhance the guest experience.
